The Distillery Building is a 110, 000 square foot converted rum distillery. In 1985, the current management obtained the other building on the site, and so the whole block between First, Second, Dorchester and H, almost two acres of land.
There are 68 total units comprised of 38 studios and 30 studio apartments, housing The Distillery’s approximately 140 tenants. Spaces range from 300 to 4000 sq. ft., ranging in price from $10-$16 per sq. ft, depending on amenities, including HVAC, electric service, available light, ceiling height, and others.
Facilities & Services
All rents trash removal, tax escalators, snow removal, public area cleaning. In most units, heat is also included. Additionally, all Distillery tenants receive free representation on The Distillery Website as well as exhibition space in The Distillery Gallery. All artists and artisans in The Distillery also have the opportunity to exhibit their work to hundreds of visitors to The Distillery’s Open Studios, each year in the first weekend in November.
Distillery tenants have access to the parking lot and two freight elevators, as well as attentive and available 24-hour building management.
Safety Features: The Distillery is fully sprinklered, equipped with smoke detectors, panic stations, all wired to a central alarm monitoring station.
