The Distillery
The Distillery is a vibrant community of artists, artisans,
and small businesses located in a beautiful mid 19th century
converted rum distillery building. For more than twenty years
The Distillery has been a hub of creativity and the arts in
the city of Boston, housing many nationally and internationally
renowned artists and artisans. Located in lovely and historic
South Boston, The Distillery houses three galleries as well
as approximately 140 tenants in its studios and studio apartments.
Come meet the artists and personnel and experience The Distillery
firsthand at our annual Open Studios event each fall.
In addition to being one of the largest and most dynamic
arts communities in the city, The Distillery is also committed
to an environmentally sustainable approach to real estate
development. The building management is dedicated to the research
and implementation of green technology in both The Distillery
building and future building projects.
